Well here we are with another month gone and we are beginning to get back to somewhat normal activities.  Bob and I are planning to attend the Chapter T Spring Fling in the North Georgia Mountains at the end of this week.  We are really looking forward to some time away from these 4 walls.  Other than weekly grocery trips and out walking the dog, it has been very boring.

Please be sure that you check out the week ahead that Bob Greer is posting. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the next one.  We, as a chapter, are going to start slowly but try to get back to normal business. I for one could use someone other than Bob M to talk to. (haha)   But, as stated, we’re only starting out slowly.

I hope that everyone is staying safe.  Hope to see everyone soon.

P.S. - Besides Phil & Joyce delivering masks last month that they made to Henry County Fire Dept, we also heard that Joe & Debbie Lundell had done this as well for their community.

Thoughts & Concerns
Peg Hopkins

I hope that no news means good news.  I have not received any information of sickness or passing from any of our members.  Hopefully, this mean everyone is staying safe and well from our long distancing from each other.  I know we are bored and ready to get back out into the world.  But in the meantime, stay well and hope to see everyone soon.

Please keep our country in your thoughts and prayers during this time of confinement because of the COVID-19 virus.  Please try and keep all the guideline in your everyday lives as possible.

Something GWRRA To Do While
You "Shelter in Place"

As most of you have heard, our National Rally, Wing Ding,  has been cancelled. We were really looking forward to our trip to Springfield, Missouri in July. I know many of you were too. But I must say...I'm getting used to this no deadlines to meet, wear my PJs all day and munching on snacks kind of life. I do miss your smiling faces though.  Just don't think I'm putting on makeup for our next ride/event.

To help replace some of the FUN of Wing Ding, Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) is holding a Virtual Bike Show on Face Book.  The two wheeled category closed as of May 7th, 2020 and the scores are being tallied.  Other categories will follow. To post a picture of your bike or to vote for your favorite bike go to Facebook and search...GWRRA MEP, Virtual Bike Show or you can click here and make sure you're in the "Discussions"section.

One like equals one vote.  You can also add pictures of your own bike to get in on the judging.  Other categories will be up for posting and voting soon. Enjoy the bikes.  They are beauties.

ChA wants to get everybody out riding & socializing as soon as we can but we have to do that within the guidelines being sent from our federal and state governments. Stay tuned to my "Week Ahead" e-mails and ChA's Rides & Events Calendar for updated.

Update from the National Safety Council about National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Safety Council has postponed the observance of Distracted Driving Awareness Month to October 2020. Sign up now and we will send you an email reminder in September about planning your Distracted Driving Awareness Month program. Thank you for your support and understanding as we continue to navigate this unprecedented global situation. Once again I would encourage you to go take a look at the NSC webpage.  There is lots of good stuff about Motorcycle Awareness and Motorcycle Safety.

Stay safe, healthy and don't hurry back to social norms.  Please remember that most of us in ChA's extended family are in the "high risk" category and there are probably lots of COVID-19 carriers out there that are asymptomatic or that show very light signs. It could take up to two weeks for any type of COVID-19 symptoms to show up.

CXL'd

Yep!  I've been putting a whole lot of these "Cxl'd" notes on the ChA Ride Calendar lately but that is about to change.

ChA wants to get everybody out riding & socializing as soon as we can but we have to do that within the guidelines being sent from our federal and state governments. Stay tuned to my "Week Ahead" e-mails and ChA's Rides & Events Calendar for updated.

ChA has rescheduled our 2020 Annual Spring Ride to Thursday-Sunday, October 1-4, 2020 for Big Lynn Lodge in Little Switzerland, NC.  Many have already switched their April 2020 reservations to these new dates and, as a matter of fact, a few more have decided to join us.  Contact me if you need room reservation information.  P.S.- There will be another group staying at Big Lynn during that same weekend so I would encourage you to make a reservation as soon as possible if there is even a chance you might go. You can discuss their great cancellation policy with them when you make your reservation.

Since my last Ride Coordinator Chapter Chat notes Wing Ding 42 - Springfield, MO (GWRRA's National Rally) has been cancelled.  You will have to cancel your own hotel room reservations if you had one.  GWRRA has promised to keep members informed about rescheduling WD43 for 2021.  If you pre-paid WD42 Rally Registrations, contact GWRRA Home Office in Phoenix about a refund or carrying your rally registration over to WD43. Their phone number is (800) 843-9460.
